“… that this wine may serve as
a testament to memory,
respect and loyalty”

Two hills away from Francs,
the perched village of Montpeyroux,
is the cradle of the Chadronnier family.

On the Pontys butte, next to the family home,
a vineyard not larger than 1,75 hectares was planted in 2002,
there where past generations of the Chadronnier family
had once planted, then pulled out, and then replanted vines.
On this clay-limestone terroir, with southern exposure, Merlot,
in an overwhelming majority, is complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon

The “philosophy” of L’Enclos Pontys
is the same as that of Château Marsau.

However, it is with a certain amount of added emotion
that we hope this wine may serve as
a testament to memory, respect and loyalty.
